A vet actor, followed closely behind by a professional prompter, is helped to draw from memories that produce a deeply personal and truthful rendering of Shakespeare’s words.

A vet actor, followed by an FoC facilitator, is helped to connect their personal feelings, memories, and experiences with Shakespeare’s words.

Join us for a weekly workshop at Soldier’s Home.

This is a weekly group that supports connection, camaraderie, creativity, and companionship! We read and act plays, discuss the themes and relationships of these powerful stories, and find meaning in them as it relates to our own lives. Open to all. Come when you can.

Tuesdays from 10:00am to 11:30am

Soldiers Home: 515 S. General Mitchell Blvd., Milwaukee, WI 53214

Meetings are entirely drop in.

Come whenever you feel like it. You can stay the whole time or leave when you need to. Please, join the mailing list for updates or call 414-203-1960 (someone will return your call) to make sure we are meeting.

Anyone can come to our weekly meetings.

They are held in order to give the veteran participants a consistent point of contact with each other and the FoC staff but we often welcome students, Shakespeare scholars and supportive civilians into the circle.

Weekend workshops and day-long events for a deeper dive into Shakespeare.

Veterans who are interested in joining FoC on a regular basis are encouraged to participate in one or more of our weekend workshops but there is no criteria for membership. Full productions are an enormous commitment of time and energy. Many of our long term members find it a wonderful, fulfilling experience, but no one is required to do one of our once a year productions. There are lots of other opportunities to be involved without such a commitment.

Send a message about your interest in joining us for these unique get-togethers.
